Richard Blackford, award-winning composer and conductor is known equally for his work in film and as a composer of concert and stage works. Nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music he currently has over 200 film and television credits to his name. 2008 sees the premiere of the feature film The World Unseen, The Four Seasons, and ten drama features for ZDF. He also composed the score for the Royal National Theatre production of Fram, which included a ballet danced by Viviana Durante. His Violin Concerto was premiered by the Brno Philharmonic, where he is the first ever Composer in Residence, and earlier in 2008 he conducted the Brno Philharmonic and Bournemouth Symphony Chorus in a programme which included his widely performed and acclaimed cantata Mirror Of  Perfection.
